THE LANHAM ACT TURNS 75

In 1946 the United States Congress enacted the Lanham Act which created a national trademark registration system to provide protection for owners of federally registered marks against the use of similarly registered marks that could cause confusion with consumers.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will commemorate the passage of the Lanham Act on June 17-18th.  For more information on this event, please visit: https://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/lanham-act-75th-anniversary-celebration?utm_campaign=subscriptioncenter&utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_name=&utm_source=govdelivery&utm_term=
