Draft and prepare patent applications for submission to the U.S. patent office (USPTO), Chinese patent office, and European patent office. Conduct international patent and registered design search and analysis and prepare patentability advice for clients. Perform patent and scientific literature searches and analysis relating to patentability, validity, and infringement. Assist attorneys with prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO and preparing Patent Clearance and Freedom to Operate Opinions. Advise on patent filing strategies under U.S., Hong Kong/Chinese, and PCT international patent filing practice. Associate’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or any Engineering field plus three years of experience in job offered or in wireless communications engineering required. Interns will be assigned a variety of tasks related to both client matters and to academic publications and presentations. Ideal candidates will have background knowledge of intellectual property law and a demonstrated interest in the field. Qualified candidates should submit a resume and cover letter.
