Matthew Asbell’s article on USPTO efforts to reduce the quantity and scope of trademark registrations covering goods/services for which the corresponding mark is not used was published in the July/August 2015 edition of Landslide

The July/August 2015 edition of Landslide, the magazine of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law, included an article by Matthew D. Asbell called “Chipping Away at the Dead Wood“.  The article, reproduced here, discusses efforts by the USPTO to reduce the quantity and scope of trademark registrations covering goods/services for which the corresponding mark is not used.
