Ladas & Parry opens new office in Washington, D.C. area

Ladas & Parry LLP is pleased to announce the opening of our new office at 1727 King Street in Alexandria, Virginia, just steps from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The office will be led by three new partners, Donald L. Dennison, Dr. Malcolm J. MacDonald, and Mark Lebow.

“The opening of a DC-area office so close to the USPTO and the courts and the addition of our new partners will further strengthen our geographic reach and enhance our services to clients,” said Dennis Prahl, a partner of Ladas & Parry.

Donald Dennison and Malcolm MacDonald, both formerly of Dennison, Schultz & MacDonald, bring considerable experience to the firm. Dennison is a well-known trademark attorney with a strong practice in trademark filing and enforcement. “I am truly delighted and honored to be a partner in Ladas & Parry,” Dennison said. “Although the Dennison, Schultz & MacDonald firm was respected for 89 years as an IP firm in the DC area, I am proud that the good works and reputation of that firm will continue under the renowned Ladas name. A new office presence in the Nation’s Capital area will enhance Ladas’ scope and activities.”

Malcolm MacDonald’s practice specializes in patents relating to pharmaceutical agents and biotechnology. “Don and I are very excited about this opportunity to grow and extend the practice we built in our boutique law firm,” MacDonald said. “We knew that a larger firm would offer a better platform to attract and service clients and we finally found the right fit in Ladas & Parry. We can now offer clients the bench strength of a larger firm, while maintaining the collegiality and devotion to personal client service offered by a smaller group.”

Mark Lebow, who will join the firm as of December 1, is a former partner of Young & Thompson, specializing in trademark law and litigation, infringement, unfair competition and related areas, including copyright law. “I am delighted to be joining Ladas & Parry as a founding member of its new Alexandria, Virginia office,” Lebow said. “Ladas’ dedication to excellence, strong support and infrastructure, and group of top notch IP lawyers, provides me with the perfect environment to support my clients. I am excited to be part of this great team.”
