Shiming Wu, Ph.D.

Dr. Shiming Wu is a registered U.S. Patent Agent in the New York office of Ladas & Parry.

Ms. Wu specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technical fields including wireless telecommunication, electrical engineering, software, consumer electronics, video/audio coding, material composition, etc. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China. She also holds a Master of Science degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Ph.D. Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Prior to joining Ladas & Parry, Shiming spent 5 years as a patent agent at a Connecticut-based IP law firm and 11 years working as a Senior IP Counsel at Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. In Shenzhen, China.
