Yusef Abutouq is an associate at Ladas & Parry in the New York office.
Yusef’s practice concentrates on both U.S. and International trademark and copyright matters and transactional matters. He has advised clients in diverse industries including technology, fashion, aviation, and pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining the team, he worked at a New York City-based tech startup and boutique law firms handling securities, privacy, and cryptocurrency/blockchain-related matters.
Yusef graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he received a B.S. in Biochemistry and minored in Music. He earned his J.D. at New York Law School along with certificates from the Innovation Center of Law and Technology, International Law, Business and Financial Services and public service. He also studied international intellectual property in London, UK and was a student attorney in New York Law School’s inaugural USPTO Patent Clinic.
His pro bono work comprises assisting small startups and minority-owned businesses with various legal issues including intellectual property matters.
Yusef is licensed to practice in New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
In his spare time, Yusef enjoys cycling, cooking, and traveling.
