Rachel is a registered U.S. Patent Practitioner. She specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical/computer engineering and mechanical engineering field. Her practice also extends to chemical pharmaceutical and consumer electronics, and she has advised local start-ups and multinational companies on freedom-to-operate questions and patent oppositions.
Prior to joining our firm, Rachel worked in the patent group in an international law firm and focused on patent and design matters. Rachel also gained experience in patent clearance analysis for pharmaceutical products and their generic portfolio in that capacity. Rachel had previously worked in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology in Canada and also worked in developing and testing RF wireless consumer products in British Columbia, Canada. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property from Bournemouth University in U.K. Rachel is also elected as Associate member of U.K. Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
