Jose Landivar is an Associate at Ladas & Parry in the New York office.
Jose’s practice concentrates on trademark prosecution, clearance and enforcement, copyrights and domain names.
Prior to joining the Firm, Jose engaged in public advocacy as a Legal Fellow at the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President, Eric L. Adams and was a summer intern to the Eastern Regional Director and General Counsel at Actor’s Equity Association, a U.S. labor union that represents professional stage actors and stage managers.
Jose graduated from Brooklyn Law School where he earned his J.D. and a certificate in Intellectual Property, Media and Information Law and served as President of the Latin American Law Students Association and the Film and Television Chair of the Brooklyn Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Prior to law school, Jose earned a B.A. as a Playwriting major from Fordham University and wrote, produced and directed, “A Stray Cat in Brooklyn,” an award winning independent film. Jose is currently a member of the Copyright & Literary Property Committee for the New York City Bar.
In his spare time, Jose enjoys Crossfit and taking his Havanese to the dog run.
