The firm is pleased to announce that its litigation team in New York has expanded by the addition of Michael Cornman, Jay Bondell, and Meyer Gross, all former partners of the firm of Schweitzer Cornman Gross & Bondell LLP, who have joined the firm as Of Counsel. Elliot Lipins, a former associate of Schweitzer Cornman Gross & Bondell LLP, has joined the firm as an associate.
Michael Cornman comes to the firm with many years of experience in the prosecution and defense of trademark, patent and copyright infringement cases. He is also experienced in the licensing and protection of patents in high tech manufacturing and biomedical devices, complex computer programs, e-commerce Internet systems and advanced ion mobility spectrometric bomb detection apparatus.
“Having collaborated with Ladas & Parry for many years, there will be an obvious synergy with this merger of talents from which our combined clientele will benefit” says Mr. Cornman.
Jay Bondell brings a unique combination of both business and technical expertise in the patent and trademark field. He is also experienced in licensing and has significant litigation experience in a broad spectrum of intellectual property matters.
“Our combined extensive experience in representing a wide spectrum of clients, from individual inventors, start up and small businesses, to multinational corporations, on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including prosecution, enforcement, counseling and licensing, will compliment Ladas & Parry’s multi-faceted practice,” said Mr. Bondell.
Meyer Gross brings to Ladas extensive experience in patent prosecution, litigation, copyright and trademark matters. He has also handled both US and international licensing agreements in all aspects of intellectual property.
Elliot Lipins is experienced in litigation at trial and appellate court levels as well as patent and trademark matters.
“These additions add significant depth to both our patent and trademark capabilities across a broad range of client needs” says Allan Pilson, a partner at Ladas & Parry.
