John Carl (JC) Zwisler is an Associate at Ladas & Parry in the New York office.
JC’s practice concentrates on trademark prosecution, clearance, maintenance and enforcement, domain names, and brand protection.
JC earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property. Prior to joining Ladas & Parry, JC worked as a Lawyering Fellow at Northeastern and interned at Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, Cengage Learning, and New York Road Runners. During law school, JC served as a Student Attorney and Teaching Assistant for IP CO-LAB, Northeastern’s intellectual property law clinic. As a result, he has experience working with companies in the music and food industries.
JC was born in Paraguay, raised in Maryland, and graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston MA, where he received his B.M. in Professional Music. An avid drummer, JC has recorded several albums, toured parts of the U.S., and taught several young musicians.
JC was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2016 and the New York Bar in 2017. He is a member of the Boston Patent Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
In his spare time, JC enjoys cooking, running, and playing music.
