The Madrid Protocol has entered into force with respect to Algeria

The Madrid Protocol has entered into force with respect to Algeria as of today’s date. As Algeria was the last of 95 members of the older Madrid Agreement to accede to the Madrid Protocol, all international registrations for trademarks under the Madrid System are now exclusively governed by the Madrid Protocol. This should simplify filing and management for trademark owners in many countries.
